You are interpreting filter option Show common folders like Show equal folders which cause your confusion.Īn enabled Show common folders results in showing the folders which exist on both side independent on what these folders contain, i.e. Can someone look at this and help me out. What gives? It made me think that only files will show from red folders but when I look a bit further down, it DOES show the files from a white folder so there goes my theory. but when I uncheck the 'show common folders' the first file on the left shown is the red one from the red folder NOT the ones from the white folder(s). Further down on the same picture it shows a folder on the left in red with a couple of files in red and on the right side it shows no folder or file again, that is correct. With show common folders checked there are a couple of folders in white at the top (left side) with a file each in red below them these files clearly do not show in the same white folders on the right side so those are definitely files that are different good so far. In the compare of the 2 folders it shows the results of files that are different between them but it actually doesn't show all files unless I have the 'common folders' enabled/displayed. I'm using UltraCompare version 18.00.0.86 on a Windows 10 64 bit machine. Please look at the three included pictures showing the session settings the compare results with show common folders on and compare with show common folders off. Then, just a few months later, he collapsed without warning. In February 2019, Scout was the shining star of our Super Bowl commercial. Scout brought international attention to canine cancer and rallied people worldwide to donate to the cause. He died a hero, and although not here in body, his spirit continues on, advocating for other pets in need of lifesaving treatment. On March 22, 2020, he bravely crossed the rainbow bridge to that special place where he no longer has to fight cancer. We don't have to wait for a ship to come from thousands of miles away - we can manufacture right here, right now." Handling everything in Illinois, he said, also "means we're quick-to-market. "If you combine American technology with great American workers, you can be competitive with anyone, anytime, around the world," he said. MacNeil insisted that WeatherTech's way is the winning one, anyway. "I'm going to manufacture here in America, and it really doesn't matter if I can manufacture more cheaply overseas." "I don't really care what I do is from the heart," he said. MacNeil doesn't want to hear about what kind of cost premium he might be paying because he refuses to outsource manufacturing to China or elsewhere. MacNeil also has kept nearly every aspect of WeatherTech's operations in-house, right down to having his own employees staff the consumer call center and plowing company parking lots with his own trucks. Digitization and CAD- CAM technology have helped WeatherTech make snug-fitting, protective, premium-priced floor liners for practically anything that moves.Īnd now everything - from most of the plant's tooling to its vast supply of sheet plastic - comes to the company's suburban-Chicago operations from only in America. Some slicers also features non-skid feet so the machine doesn’t move unexpectedly while you are using it. In response, most models now come with a hand guard to protect fingers. Many people avoid mandolines due to fear of injuring themselves on the blades.ĭemand for this at-home appliance is continuously growing and safety is a constant priority. Using a mandoline slicer to cut your vegetables is much easier than individually chopping them with a chef’s knife, especially when feeding a crowd, and it’s just as safe. Slices are always uniform in thickness, which can be essential for perfect presentation and evenly distributed cooking when making things like chips and fried foods. A food item is slid along the adjustable surface until it reaches the blade, which quickly slices it. Two parallel working surfaces, one whose height is adjustable and includes a mounted blade, is the basis of the mandoline slicer. They’re countertop kitchen tools that allow you to push vegetables (or other foods, like cheese) across sharp blades to get thinly sliced snacks efficiently. Mandoline slicers are essentially vegetable guillotines. This key tool is called a mandoline slicer. The secret to getting such thin slices is a basic kitchen gadget that should be in every home cook’s toolkit. It turns out, home cooks can get in on the action with ease. That crunch adds an elevated eating experience that most people only think is possible in fancy restaurants. Thinly sliced veggies are more likely to maintain their satisfying crunch compared to thick chunks - even if the vegetables are full of water, as zucchinis and cucumbers are. Impressively cut veggies are sure to make any meal stand out, both in presentation and taste. Paper-thin foods definitely come with a “wow” factor, especially for foodies. Upon ordering a delicious and nutritious dish from a quality eatery, you will likely find razor-thin cucumbers, carrots, radishes, apples or other produce topping your exquisite dish. It features a mix of modern and historical images, including contemporary content that may appeal to younger audiences and helps them see how their footprints impact future generations. The exhibition showcases the significant influence of African Americans on the region's history and landscape. Currently, the museum is showcasing the first phase of its "Our Footprints, Our Stories" exhibition, which explores the historical journey of African Americans across downstate Illinois. Moreover, Mitchell invites everyone to visit the Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum to meet her in person and learn about the latest news. "We have made some minor adjustments to how we communicate our funding sources to visitors and supporters," said Mitchell. "Memberships, grants and donations support our museum," said Mitchell. This, in turn, will put the institution in a place to increase revenue and secure the museum's long-term viability.Īccording to Mitchell, she has seen an increase in revenue just by making slight modifications to improve communication and remove any ambiguity around funding. Moreover, the new award enables the museum to build a skilled team that can strengthen its operational functions and administrative practices. The program's goal is to improve the capacity of African American museums and promote professional development for staff members. The Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum's board of directors hired Mitchell thanks to a successful award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services grant program called Museum Grants for African American History and Culture. She is working on improving the exhibitions to make them more accessible for those with visual impairments, low literacy skills and anyone who faces any obstacles that may hinder their museum experience.Ī year from now, one of Mitchell's goals is to have a plan in place to expand the museum's gift shop and "even look into and explore maybe having an online gift shop," said Mitchell. "I want us to be known as a museum accessible for people of all walks of life," said Mitchell. Her priority is ensuring that everyone can access the museum, irrespective of their life's journey. Together, they share a passion for the museum's success, ensuring its position in the community as a trusted source for collecting, interpreting and sharing stories that similar institutions and textbooks have neglected.Īdditionally, Mitchell is focusing on creating an inclusive and welcoming museum environment that caters to all visitors, regardless of their age, background or abilities. With Mitchell joining the Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum and a committed board of directors and community partners, the museum has achieved a trifecta that guarantees a bright future full of potential. "There is an indebtedness in my heart to make sure these stories are shared broader than just our museum." "My passion has grown since I have been here," said Mitchell. This revelation has fueled her desire to learn more about her family's history and has further strengthened her commitment to serving the community. "It's moving and shocking all at the same time, knowing that part of my blood or my lineage actually lost their homes in the 1908 race massacre," expressed Mitchell. However, when she took on her current position, a local historian who learned about her connection to Springfield informed her that historical records suggest her relatives were among the victims who lost their homes in the tragic Springfield riots of 1908. An exhibition at the museum features Mitchell's family as one of Springfield's first Black families to settle in the area. Interestingly, Mitchell's new role has also expanded her understanding of her own family history and personal story. "I have been learning as I go and as I grow," said Mitchell. These stories continually improve and expand her knowledge of the Black experience in central Illinois as Mitchell progresses in her role. Nalo Mitchell's "aha moment," after serving two months as the inaugural executive director of the Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum, is the willingness of individuals to share their personal and familial histories, even if they are difficult or emotional, and how it has shaped them as individuals. |
